They are looking for an Investment associate to join a high performing team in Amsterdam Company Profile

Karmijn Kapitaal office is located on the West of Amsterdam, close to the World Fashion Centre. Karmijn is active in the lower end of the mid-market in the Netherlands.

They invest in:

• Established, profitable companies with clear opportunities for value creation via Management Buy-Out and Growth Finance.

• Minimum profit of €0,5 mln and minimum revenues of €5 mln.

• Equity tickets €2-10 mln, enterprise value €5-50 mln. For larger investments they are flexible to work with other co-investors. They are also flexible to take both majority and minority stakes.

Karmijn is close to fully investing Fund III (€80 mln) and continues to realize exits from Fund I. They are currently fund raising for Fund IV (target is €90-120m). Although Karmijn is sector agnostic they have made significant investments in production, trade and services.

Job Description

In the role of Investment Associate your primary focus will be analyzing and qualifying buy side investment opportunities for Karmijn Kapitaal. You will actively advise and assist the Investment Managers in converting these opportunities into successful deals. You will also assist in sell side/vendor due diligence projects; helping prepare portfolio companies from Funds I & II for sale. You should see the role as a “junior investment manager” role, and depending upon your work experience (3-6 years) you should be able to make Investment Manager in 1-4 years.

In summary your responsibilities will be as below with an emphasis on financial/business and sector analysis; very much supporting the deal sourcing and execution activities

• Deal origination (e.g. market and company research, networking)

• Evaluation of investment proposals (e.g. financial modelling, valuation, structuring, commercial due diligence)

• Support deal due diligence and documentation (financial and commercial mainly) • Periodic portfolio performance reviews, valuation and return calculations Requirements

• A fundamental connection with the values of Karmijn!

• Strong academic track: Masters in a numerical discipline (Business, Finance, Econometrics, Engineering etc.).

• Between 3 and 6 years of work experience in Corporate Finance (M&A, Lev fin, Valuations, FDD or restructuring) or Private Equity.

• Strong performance/track record with previous employers.

• Excellent team working skills.

• Ambitious and highly driven to succeed with good level of professional and commercial flair including a natural connection to entrepreneurs at the lower end of the mid- market.

• Native Dutch.
